LEICESTER boss Simon Stead wants to see his side increase their winning margins at home as they prepare to host rivals Wolverhampton on Monday (7.30).
The Watling JCB Lions have suffered only one defeat so far at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena, winning their last five.
But their three most recent results have seen their opponents leave with a consolation league point for their efforts.
And with Stead anticipating a tight league table upon the completion of all regular fixtures, he insists every point gained or conceded will be crucial.
“We’ve already beaten them once here this season and hopefully we can build on the consolation point we picked up at their place seven days ago in a performance which I think we should be proud of,” Stead said.
“Last time Wolverhampton came here we let them leave with a point – we want to do everything we can to make sure that doesn’t happen because the league table is getting so tight now and every single point will count come the end of the regular fixtures.
“Our last four home meetings have seen us win by six points or less – and we hope with a newly settled side that we can start improving on those margins with the fixtures now coming thick and fast.”
